Bond Policy

Bond purchases are a requirement of Shellcrest Pool Membership and entitles you to a prorated ownership of the pool.
The cost of a Shellcrest Bond is $350.00 when paid in full.
Bonds can be paid in installments over a 3-year period with an additional $15 fee per year.

The cost for Bond Installments are $140 required each year until paid in full. (This includes the $15 fee )
Any amounts paid are Non-Refundable until the Bond is paid in full.

Certified Bonds are issued for New Members at the beginning of the summer once the Bond is fully paid.
The board will issue bonds under a single Family Member's Name.

​Resignations
Resignations must be received in writing by April 1st or the full season’s dues will apply.  
Dues are set by the club’s board of directors and must be paid by May 1st of each year. Please use Membership Dues Form to calculate total Annual Membership Cost.  Membership Dues are subject to change each year.

Bond Refunds
Only the the cost of the Membership Bond is refundable when resigning from the club. Once Shellcrest Pool has met capacity, Bonds are refunded in the order the resignations are received and as the bonds are purchased by new members.

Bond Options
Should Shellcrest Pool not meet capacity at the time of your resignation request, you are afforded with a couple options:

1. Hold on to the bond:  As a bond owner you own a piece of the club.  In the event the club is closed and property is sold, you will receive full compensation for the cost of your share.

2. Transfer or gift the bond:  The bylaws state that you have the right to transfer or gift the bond to a family member.  Please ensure you contact the Board of Directors in writing to alert them of the change.

Member Resignations

The deadline for resignation is April 1 of each year.  Anyone wishing to resign from the pool must fill out the resignation form with a copy of the bond\proof of purchase found below:

If you cannot locate your bond, a notarized letter must take its place.  Resignations must be received by April 1 of that year, or the full season’s dues will be assessed.  There are no refunds after April 1.  This is done to ensure a predictable cash flow to the pool.

• Only fully paid bond costs are refundable when resigning from the club, only if resignation is received by due date.  
 • Bonds are refunded in the order the resignations are received and as the bonds are purchased by new members.
 • Please note that bond payments will only be distributed when the pool is at full capacity.

 • Shellcrest appreciates your patience, as refunds can take multiple years.
